H.C. Starck's choice of Leading Edge and its strategic West coast location will provide faster turnaround of products, reduce lead time constraints on minimum quantity orders, and improve product availability.

The collaboration will promote business synergy by combining H.C. Starck's strengths in raw material processing and fabrication of refractory materials with those of Leading Edge, a leading stocking distributor of high-quality, specialty materials.

H.C. Starck is well-known for its ability to engineer materials to solve unique customer application challenges from its core competency, high-purity level materials: molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, and their alloys.  

Leading Edge will stock H.C. Starck materials in sheet, plate, coil, rod and bar in varying sizes and shapes for off-the-shelf delivery direct to customers from its southern California warehouse.

By extending its vertically integrated supply chain to include the finishing processes of Leading Edge, H.C. Starck will be better positioned to meet market demands and the growth potential presented through this relationship. As customer demands increase, additional products will be stocked at the warehouse.
