Head of RBS Citizens Treasury Solutions Speaks at McKinsey Cash Management Forum on Linking "Customer Experience" with Compliance
PROVIDENCE, R.I., April 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- James Gifas, head of RBS Citizens Treasury Solutions will speak at the McKinsey Cash Management Forum this week in Atlanta. His subject will be how to continue to put clients and client service first, while ensuring full regulatory, risk, and compliance controls are in place for all treasury solutions products and services.
"Client protection, education, and service are our top priorities. They can be self-reinforcing, I believe – not necessarily mutually exclusive," he says.
The McKinsey Cash Management Forum brings together senior treasury services executives from more than 35 financial institutions across North America. McKinsey's Forum allows cash management experts to share insights and discuss market trends as related to technologies and services in the industry.
RBS Citizens recently completed a multi-city fraud awareness campaign for its customers – including seminars and distributing a "fraud kit" with best practices for employees to use to reduce fraud. The bank encourages clients to sign up for free services such as Trusteer's Rapport fraud-protection software.
"Ultimately, we very much see controls for risk and compliance linked with the customer experience, and our role and responsibility as treasury services experts is to make sure that the two are as seamless as possible."
James Gifas is the head of RBS Citizens Treasury Solutions, and was named to Global Finance magazine's "Who's Who in Treasury & Cash Management." He is also speaking later this month at the Mobey Forum in San Francisco.
