HealthCare Royalty Partners Announces Senior Promotion, New Investment Professional and West Coast Presence
Expansion Follows Successful Raise of $1.5 Billion for HealthCare Royalty Partners III, L.P. and Affiliated Entities
STAMFORD, Conn. and SAN FRANCISCO, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthCare Royalty Partners ("HCRP") today announced several firm developments:
Senior Investment Professional Promotion:
HCRP has promoted Paul Hadden to Managing Director. Mr. Hadden was the fifth employee at HCRP having joined the firm in 2007 as a Senior Associate. Over the past eight years, he has played a key role in all aspects of the firm and has executed over $650 million in royalty transactions. Today, he focuses the majority of his time on business development and transaction sourcing. Prior to HCRP, Mr. Hadden was a senior member of the healthcare consulting team at The Frankel Group. He started his career in the finance department at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Mr. Hadden holds a B.A. from Yale College and an M.P.H. from the Yale School of Public Health.
Expansion of Investment Team:
HCRP has also appointed Shin Kang, Ph.D. as a Vice President based in Stamford, CT. In this role, Dr. Kang will be focused on expanding the firm's research capabilities reporting directly to Founding Managing Director Dr. Gregory Brown. Dr. Kang most recently served as Vice President of Equity Research at Wells Fargo Securities covering the biotechnology sector. Prior to Wells Fargo, he managed technology, intellectual property and business development at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and conducted research at Genentech as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Kang holds a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry/Immunology from the University of California, Los Angeles, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. from the University of California, Davis.

New West Coast Presence:
HCRP will establish a West Coast presence in San Francisco, CA in summer 2015. As part of this expansion, Anthony Rapsomanikis is relocating to San Francisco where he will serve as Director of West Coast Business Development. Mr. Rapsomanikis will work closely with Founding Managing Director Todd Davis and Paul Hadden, both of whom will continue to be based in the firm's headquarters in Stamford, CT.
