HealthEd Taps Kelemen to Lead West Coast Expansion Helping Biotechnology Companies Address a "Critical Watershed" in Patient Engagement
CLARK, N.J. and SAN DIEGO, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthEd announced seasoned biopharma executive Vicki Kelemen has joined as Senior Vice President and will lead the company's growing business on the West Coast. The appointment comes at a critical watershed for biopharma companies, which are realizing the benefits of putting patients at the center of their business strategies.

Kelemen has more than 20 years of healthcare marketing and communications experience. She brings to HealthEd a unique blend of expertise across multiple therapeutic areas and treatment modalities, including: injectable and oral oncolytics, infectious diseases, virology, inflammatory diseases, neurology, diabetes and others. Prior to joining HealthEd, Kelemen held executive positions at Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Maxim Pharmaceuticals, Agouron Pharmaceuticals (Pfizer), Dura Pharmaceuticals, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, and The DAVICK Group (a healthcare agency), where she developed successful education and support strategies that fostered communication between healthcare professionals and their patients, improving adherence to treatment.
In addition to expanding the company's West Coast presence, Kelemen will lead teams servicing current HealthEd clients including Genentech, Amgen, and Amylin.
