Heart to Heart International CEO Takes Leadership Position at MidAmerica Nazarene University
CEO Jon D. North departs Heart to Heart International to accept dual roles of Executive Director of the MNU Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement at his alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University.
OLATHE, Kan., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Heart to Heart International announced today that its long-time CEO, Jon D. North, is leaving the organization to take a top leadership position at his alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU), a Christian liberal-arts college also based in Olathe. He will assume the dual roles of Executive Director of the MNU Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement on August 16.
"Jon is a valuable leader and he will have great success in his new roles," said Dr. Gary Morsch, Heart to Heart's President and Founder. "Of course, we will miss his steady hand at the helm, but we also know that MNU holds a very special place in his heart and we wish him well."
Mr. North joined Heart to Heart in 1993—just one year after the grassroots organization was founded. Over the next 17 years, he played a vital role in shaping the operations, fundraising, and administrative functions of the organization. He was named Executive Vice President in 1997 and was appointed to the role of CEO in late 2001.
Heart to Heart International's Board of Directors will name an interim CEO in this transition.
