Heather Guffin Continues to Produce Innovative Timeshare Industry Solutions as CEO of Her Own Company

Heather Guffin was born and raised in Washington State. Heather studied in Seattle where she majored in Physics at the University of Washington. Heather's first immersion into the vacation ownership industry took place when she accepted a sales position for the successful and well established timeshare resort chain Grupo Mayan. Heather's vision, motivation, and sales innovation led to her selling her first million dollars' worth of timeshare within 4 months of starting in the timeshare industry.

Grupo Mayan quickly recognized her innate sales abilities and promoted her to sales management within 9 months. Two years later, at just 25 years old, Heather Guffin became the first female and youngest Project Director in the company's history.

During her five year duration as Project Director, Heather developed and led a high-performance timeshare sales team that targeted prospects that were considered statistically less likely to purchase by typical industry standards. The experiment was a complete success. Heather's team generated an additional 8 million dollars in unexpected sales volume their first year, and achieved a VPG $1000 USD higher than the traditional more 'qualified' sales tracks in the destination.

Heather Rene Guffin's sales and marketing operation continued to grow until 2008 when sales volumes surpassed $28 million and the company elected to integrate the non-traditional sales and marketing techniques first introduced by Heather into their standard operating procedures company wide. At which time, Heather relinquished her role as Project Director to pursue new goals and carve out her own niche in the industry by creating her consulting company, Alliance Sales and Marketing Solutions, with Grupo Mayan becoming her first client.
