Heffernan Foundation Announces Virtual Food Drive

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Foundation, the charitable giving program for Heffernan Insurance Brokers, is pleased to announce it is holding a virtual food drive. 

Part of Heffernan Foundation's mission is to support nonprofits providing food assistance to those in need. This year, instead of having collection barrels in their offices during the holidays, Heffernan employees can donate 'virtual' food any time before December 17 by clicking on the link below and choosing what type of food they want to donate.  They can also donate a specific dollar amount.  No need to go to the store – employees can donate right from their desks.

To access the Heffernan Foundation's Virtual Food Drive, go to http://vad.aidmatrix.org/vadxml.cfm?driveid=7228.  To make a cash donation, click on "Checkout" without adding any food to the grocery cart, click on "Donate Now," and enter an amount.
