MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Following on its successful close of DFJ Venture XI, a $325M fund focused on early-stage venture capital investments, DFJ announced today that Heidi Roizen has been promoted to a new Operating Partner position at the firm. In this role, Roizen will oversee talent, marketing, business development and investment support roles at DFJ. In addition, she will work with DFJ's portfolio companies to provide strategic advice, manage portfolio investments and help identify new investment opportunities.

Ms. Roizen currently serves on the boards of TiVo and DMGT, as well as DFJ portfolio companies XTime, Eventful and ShareThis. Roizen also teaches the class "Spirit of Entrepreneurship" at Stanford, where she received her undergraduate and MBA degrees.
Roizen is a deeply-rooted member of the venture capital and entrepreneurial communities. She was co-founder and CEO of T/Maker, a DFJ portfolio company, and Vice President of World Wide Developer Relations for Apple Computer. She was also a Managing Director of Mobius Venture Capital for eight years, during which time she was elected to the board of the NVCA and also served on its executive committee.
