HelloMD Brings Successful Online Marijuana Doctor Service to New York

SAN FRANCISCO, June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- HelloMD, the nation's largest community of medical cannabis patients, experts and trusted brands, announced that its telemedicine services will be available throughout New York State effective today. This marks the first major expansion of the company's telemedicine services outside of its home base of California. New York's medical cannabis program considers telemedicine visits as valid patient-provider engagements, allowing certified providers to prescribe cannabis-based medicine through this highly efficient mode of doctor-patient consults.

The state of New York has experienced growing pains since opening its program to patients in January 2016. However, with the recent addition of chronic pain to the list of qualifying conditions and a growing supply of certified Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, the program has seen a spike in demand. Other qualifying conditions in New York include cancer, HIV, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathies, and Huntington's disease.
