Henderson Global Investors launches International Select Equity Fund

CHICAGO, Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Henderson Global Investors (North America) Inc., which provides US investors with access to global investment opportunities through its lineup of international and global mutual funds, announces the launch of the Henderson International Select Equity Fund (Tickers: HSQAX, HSQCX, HSQIX). The Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation primarily through investment in equities of non-US companies.

The Henderson International Select Equity Fund is structured as a concentrated, 'best ideas' portfolio consisting of 30-40 equally weighted holdings with a bottom-up stock picking style. The Fund's managers conduct fundamental research to uncover material changes in a business or sector – potentially resulting in the opportunity to exploit mis-valuations and ultimately gain alpha.  

The Fund is co-managed by Matthew Beesley, CFA and Sanjeev Lakhani, CFA. Beesley, with more than 17 years of investment management, currently serves as Henderson's Head of Global Equities. Lakhani has more than 9 years of industry experience and joined Henderson in 2011 after beginning his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

Collective input will be provided by Henderson's Global Equities team, which consists of 10 global generalists managing a combined $2.28 billion in assets as of June 30, 2014. While idea generation for the Fund will stem from the entire Global Equities team at Henderson, Matthew Beesley and Sanjeev Lakhani will be responsible for making all final decisions.
