HFS Consultants Hires Managers for its Reimbursement and Long-term Care Practices
OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HFS Consultants (HFS), which offers a broad range of healthcare management solutions for hospitals and other healthcare facilities, announces the hiring of two new managers.
William Timothy Vanderford, Jr., joins the company in its Santa Ana office as manager in the reimbursement group. Nick Addleman, who was a principal with HFS in the 1990s when the company was in its early stages, returns to company headquarters in Oakland as manager of the Long-Term Care (LTC) practice line.

Vanderford's responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reports and other governmental filings for clients. He brings 20-plus years of provider and consulting experience in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues and accounting. Prior to joining HFS, Vanderford was Director of Reimbursement at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in the New Orleans area where he oversaw the government-payor reimbursement function and assisted it in its expansion from a one-facility hospital to a multi-facility healthcare system. Vanderford has also held positions at Price WaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ernst & Young, LLP, Protiviti and Carolinas Healthcare, Charlotte, NC and Novant Health, Winston-Salem, NC.
Addleman's role at HFS is to develop the LTC practice line and educate clients about its value within the continuum of services offered by the consulting company. He has extensive experience in the industry having held positions as manager at Ernst & Young's health sciences division and CFO at Magnolia LTC, a member-owned insurance company specializing in professional and general liability insurance for LTC facilities.
