Hibernum hires a new executive (COO): Stephane D'Astous as Chief Operating Officer

MONTREAL, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -  Hibernum Creations Inc., a Montreal (Quebec) based company that creates unique game experiences, is proud to announce today that Stephane D'Astous is joining the company as Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the management team, Stephane will definitely be a key addition to help define the future vision and strategy of the enterprise while overseeing all operational and support departments and ultimately helping Hibernum confirming its place as an important player in the video games industry.

Stephane has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, where he has made a name for himself with his expertise in strategic and operational management, recruitment, branding and mentoring. Over the last decade, he has held several key positions in the ever-changing and fast-paces industry of video games.

Stephane started his career in the video games industry in 2003 at Ubisoft-Montreal as the Director of Operations. He skilfully managed the rapid growth of the company, which grew from 450 to 1,450 employees in three years and also implanted new managerial tools and methods. Stephane then moved on to become the founder and General Manager of the Eidos-Montréal studio in 2007. He successfully built from the ground up a true world-class video game studio, which has become the largest of the Square Enix group, with its 550+ employees, and the studio won several international awards as "best studio of the year".

Born and raised in Montreal, Stephane graduated from the University of Montreal in Industrial Design and holds a Master degree in Business Management (MBA) from École des Hautes Études Commerciales. He also holds a Certificate in Project Management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
