Himekawa Art Production Announces Their Debut Project: Sanyo's "Marin"

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Himekawa Art Production, the global entertainment production studio by Akira Himekawa, best known for The Legend of Zelda art & comics, announces the launch of the highly anticipated Sea Story Idol, "Marin" on October 5, 2018 at New York Comic Con and Anime Fest @ NYCC x AX.

Sanyo is one of Japan's biggest producers of Pachinko, machines similar to Las Vegas slot machines. They are best known for the Pachinko content called "Umi Monogatari" or "Sea Story" series. Since the series release in 1999, it has been the most popular Pachinko machine in Japan and the main character "Marin chan" became a recognizable character, made into different merchandise including collectable figures and other arcade style machines. One of Sanyo's social contributions is to support lifeguard activities and protect coral reef where their "Umi Monogatari" series takes place.
