HM Health Solutions announces leadership changes to support continued growth of its Enterprise Health Solutions platform and customer base

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- HM Health Solutions (HMHS) today announced that Michael Malec, a veteran of both the health care and information technology industries, has joined the company in the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The company also announced that Gary Dick, who served as Senior Vice President, Infrastructure and Security for HM Health Solutions for the past five years, will assume the newly created role of Chief Information Officer for the company.

In the COO role, Malec will have end-to-end oversight of the consulting, engineering, and operations organizations. Malec will be responsible for strategic planning and operational excellence across the Enterprise Health Solutions platform. 

In the CIO role, Dick will have end-to-end oversight of the infrastructure, security, enterprise applications, dental applications, and re-insurance application organizations.

Malec joins HM Health Solutions from NASCO, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plan technology solutions provider, where he served as chief administrative officer and senior vice president. Mike has more than twenty-five years of experience in information technology between NASCO, Blue Cross Plans and payer organizations.

Dick joined HM Health Solutions in 2013 to assume the role of senior vice president, IT Infrastructure and Operations. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Information Technology of Bayer Material Science, where he spent twenty-five years in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility.

These changes are effective immediately.
