Holy Name Medical Center president/CEO Michael Maron explains, "We've spent years developing the best IT system around, and it offers us a real competitive advantage. We were determined to find an EHR/PM vendor who would match our vision."

Michael Skvarenina, assistant vice president, information technology at HNMC says, "Our goal in offering Aprima EHR+PM to affiliated doctors is to improve the flow of patient information between the hospital and physicians in the community. After comparing many EHR and PM systems, we selected Aprima for its ease of use, natural workflow, and ability to integrate smoothly with our own custom-designed hospital information system, WebHIS."

"Aprima's emphasis on flexibility and integration has allowed us to create a seamless interface with HNMC's system," says Aprima CEO Michael Nissenbaum.  "Physicians will be able to see the information they need instantly and effortlessly. In addition, we know that doctors will appreciate the time savings and increased revenue they'll see when using Aprima EHR+PM."

Aprima 2011 has been certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology, an ONC-ATCB.* The 2011/2012 certification criteria support Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Adam Jarrett, MD, executive vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Holy Name, says the Medical Center is "excited to offer physicians the fastest, most flexible EHR on the market. In addition to Aprima's medical benefits, AprimaRCM services will help doctors achieve maximum collections and efficiency even in the face of declining reimbursements."

The system being offered by Holy Name will include Aprima electronic health records, practice management, hosting, and revenue cycle management (RCM).  The Aprima EHR+PM has the potential to be rolled out to as many as 500 doctors affiliated with the hospital.
