Home Properties Stockholders Approve Acquisition by Lone Star Funds

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HME) ("Home Properties" or the "Company") today announced that its stockholders voted to approve the previously announced acquisition of Home Properties by Lone Star Funds ("Lone Star") at its special meeting of stockholders held earlier today. Subject to the satisfaction or waiver of all other closing conditions related to the transaction, the transaction is expected to close in October 2015 on a date to be specified by Lone Star. Lone Star has the right to specify the closing date, which must be on or before October 30, by notifying the Company at least three business days in advance.

Upon the closing of the acquisition, trading of Home Properties shares on the New York Stock Exchange will cease and each outstanding share of common stock of Home Properties will be converted into the right to receive $75.23 in cash.
