Hon. Stockwell Day Joins McMillan LLP

TORONTO, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - McMillan LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of the Honourable Stockwell Day, member, Queen's Privy Council (P.C.), as a Senior Strategic Advisor to assist the firm in expanding its interests in the Asia-Pacific region and South America. Mr. Day assumed his responsibilities effective July 1, 2011, and will be working out of the McMillan Vancouver office while supporting the Hong Kong office.

Notably, he served as President of the Treasury Board, Minister of International Trade, and as Minister responsible for the Asia-Pacific Gateway between 2008 and 2010. In that capacity, he brought a determined focus on expanding commercial and cultural ties with Asian countries and China, in particular.
