Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge Kicking off the first season at the Happy Valley

HONG KONG, Sept. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally acclaimed Skytrax four-star full-service airline firmly rooted in Hong Kong, is the new title sponsor of the Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge and will partner for the next three seasons. The 2017/18 season Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge kicked off last night (6^th September) at the Happy Valley. To mark the important moment, Hong Kong Airlines held a celebration dinner in Happy Valley and set a theme of "Where Parties Begin", turning the Racecourse into a party scene to share joy with the public.

Mr Zhang Kui, Co-Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Tang King Shing, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Wang Liya, Vice Chairman and President of Hong Kong Airlines, Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Jockey Club, Mr Anthony Kelly, Executive Director of Racing Business and Operations of Hong Kong Jockey Club, Mr Simon Li, Director-General of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, Mr Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Airport Authority and Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director of Hong Kong Tourism Board officiated the dinner event, celebrating the cooperation between Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Hong Kong Airlines' senior management and the Hong Kong Jockey Club kicked off the 2017/2018 season with the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge after exchanging gifts.

The Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge new season celebration offered its visitors food, drinks, live music and fun games at the racecourse. In addition, Hong Kong Airlines gives out two sets of round-trip economy class tickets between Hong Kong and Los Angeles (U.S.) as well as Hong Kong and Vancouver (Canada).
