CLEVELAND, March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hospice of the Western Reserve is proud to be an official partner of the Medical Mutual Community Engagement Program of the 37th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) presented by Dollar Bank, which will take place April 3 – 14, 2013 at Tower City Cinemas.
Hospice of the Western Reserve is specifically partnered with the film La Demora, which is scheduled to screen on Monday, April 8, 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2 p.m. and Wednesday, April 10, 6 p.m. at Tower City Cinemas during this 12-day film event.
"We're honored to support this film, which focuses on the story of an economically disadvantaged young mother of three who is also taking on the role of caring for her elderly father, who is ill and prone to wandering," said Ericha Fryfogle-Joy, chief marketing officer.
"As the largest non-profit community-based hospice in Northern Ohio, our mission is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support not only to our patients, but to their caregivers -- people like Maria -- who might otherwise fall between the cracks, so this film was especially meaningful for us," she added. "It underscores the complex emotions caregivers experience as well as the many issues they must cope with."
