Hotwire Reveals Canadian Hotel Rate Report for July 2010

SAN FRANCISCO, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Hotwire.com®, a leading discount travel site, today announced the results of the July 2010 Hotwire® Canadian Hotel Rate Report, which features the top five cities in Canada where hotel rates have dropped the most. When combined with Hotwire's already discounted prices, the Hotel Rate Report helps guide customers to the destinations that can maximize their travel dollars. Moncton, New Brunswick ranks number one on this month's rate report with a 12 percent drop, while Cambridge, Ontario and London, Ontario round out the top three, with a drop of 11 percent and eight percent, respectively.

Despite summer being in full swing, the strength of the Canadian dollar continues to curb international tourism to Canada. This trend is good news for Canadians looking to travel to their favorite domestic destinations this year as hotels continue to lower prices throughout Canada.
