Houston American Energy Announces Commencement of Drilling Operations on Cachirre #1 Well

HOUSTON, May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Houston American Energy Corp. (NYSE MKT: HUSA) today announced that drilling operations have commenced on the Cachirre #1 well, its second well on the CPO 4 block in Colombia.  The well is expected to be drilled to a total measured depth of approximately 9,500 feet.  Drilling and testing of the well is expected to be completed within 60 days.  Well results will be announced when available.
