Houston's Bush Intercontinental Launches Valet Parking
New service places customers in driver's seat for service
HOUSTON, July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Every day thousands of customers park at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and now, they can literally leave the parking to someone else as they fly off to their destination. Houston Airports announces a new enhanced parking option for customers at George Bush Intercontinental as it launches Valet Premier Parking for $25 daily.
"I am pleased that not only are we enhancing the customer service at Intercontinental, but we are also increasing jobs," said Mayor Annise Parker . "Job growth is one of my main priorities as mayor and a critical component in the effort to grow our local economy and increase Houston's long-term viability."
By leaving the parking to others, customers will have the freedom to enjoy their trips more. Customers may drop their vehicles off at the garage of their departing terminal and pick up at the garage of their arriving terminal.
Customers can locate the appropriate valet drop-off location by following the valet signage inside each parking garage at Bush Intercontinental:
- Terminal A/B Garage, ground level
- Terminal C Garage, level 4
- Terminal D/E Garage, level 2
Meanwhile, Valet Premier Parking will launch at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in the fourth quarter of 2012, following the completion of garage renovations.
Houston Airports partnered with USA Parking System; a 30-year, hospitality-industry veteran. USA Parking System specializes in the management of high-end, service-oriented parking facilities with a mission to "deliver Five Diamond services every day."
"Every day more than 5,000 customers park at Bush Intercontinental and this premium service elevates the customer experience to ensure quality service," said Mario Diaz , director of aviation for Houston Airports. "Houston is a growing, vibrant city with increasing air service and it is natural that we would increase our parking capabilities with the expansion of more international service."
Recently, Houston Airports announced new scheduled service by Turkish Airlines in April 2013; and is welcoming expanded service by Lufthansa Airlines with the first A380 aircraft in Texas starting August 1.
Putting Customers First
For customers who wish to continue to self-park, Houston Airports improved customer service in the garages and parking lots with the addition of customer service agents, visible on eight passenger electric golf carts. These agents are available to help customers locate open parking spaces, handle luggage, find their vehicles when returning, and assist with vehicle services, such as flat tires and dead batteries.
