South Florida Technology Alliance and Host.net to Feature Lynn University's Chief Information Officer and a Pre-Event Workshop Focused on How to Develop a Successful Technology Internship Program
BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- South Florida Technology Alliance and Host.net will host a business technology education program featuring Chris Boniforti titled "How a University Snagged a Presidential Debate". The presentation will cover how Lynn University was able to secure the last Presidential Debate in October 2012. Mr. Boniforti will explore the steps, expectations and challenges of hosting the largest international event that Lynn University, Boca Raton and Palm Beach County has ever hosted. Hosting the debate was an incredible honor but it also demanded tremendous resources, planning and commitment. Mr. Boniforti will also share with the audience behind the scenes information that was introduced during the debate process. He will also highlight some of the project planning that went into this year-long initiative and some of the challenges that arose.
The event takes place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Lynn University, 3601 North Military Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33431.
The event will be preceded with a pre-event workshop exploring how to build successful internship programs and grow fresh talent. The workshop will bring together both interns, as well as technology company executives with firsthand experience managing internship programs to demystify and provide audience members will actionable ways to maximize the value of internships- both for the interns and companies alike.
