PATERSON, N.J., Dec. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 200 underprivileged kids received a visit from Santa and his elves on December 25, 2015 thanks to Community Outreach Services, Inc. of Paterson, New Jersey. The bearded jolly man and his associates arrived with sacks of toys supplied by key corporate sponsors.
Huffman Koos contributed over 100 toys including six bicycles thanks to toy drives associates held during the holiday season. Several hundred additional toys were also donated by other very generous companies and individuals, making this the most successful drive to date.
Huffman Koos CEO and VP of Community Outreach Services, Inc., Anthony Mehran, attended the festivities as he has done for the last 8 years. "I can't think of a better way to start Christmas Day than with the needy children of our community. Their utter joy and smiles are truly priceless," said Mehran.
In addition to assisting Santa and his elves in Paterson on Christmas Day, Mr. Mehran and his Community Outreach Services, Inc. volunteers oversee a year-round, open food pantry that feeds approximately 250 families per week in the surrounding Paterson area of New Jersey.
Thanks to generous corporations and civil-minded volunteers, the holidays seem a little brighter this year.
