NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hunts Point Produce Market announced today that it has hired national television personality Tony Tantillo to be the new face of the World's Largest Produce Market—Hunts Point Produce Market.
In its first-ever foray into marketing, Hunts Point will wage an aggressive, multi-faceted branding campaign to re-introduce New Yorkers, those in the tri-state area and the world to Hunts Point. Its goal is twofold: highlight why this market is not just the largest in the world, but also how it clearly provides the very best and freshest produce available anywhere on the planet.

This nearly one-half million dollar marketing campaign involves several different elements and media, including two 30-second television commercials, and a new interactive website (www.huntspointproducemkt.com). Additionally, a media partnership with Time Warner Cable will highlight the market's variety, quality, consistency, availability and tradition.

Hunts Point Produce Market has chosen the 1st Annual New York Trade Show and Conference at the New York Hilton on Wednesday, November 10th to unveil the campaign. According to conference organizers, more than 200 national and international companies will participate this Wednesday. This is the first conference of its kind in more than 60 years. The Eastern Produce Council and Produce Business are sponsoring the event. More than 2000 participants are expected to fill the aisles.
