PLAINS, Pa., Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Huntzinger Management Group, Inc. (HMG), a leader in healthcare advisory and managed services consulting, announced today that William (Bill) C. Reed, FCHIME, FHIMSS, has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Reed comes to HMG after roles with Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where he served as President and CEO of AllOne Health; and Geisinger Health System and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he served as Chief Information Officer.

Reed, who resides in Moosic, Penn., has more than 30 years of progressive professional experience with providers and payers, in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. His background includes small, single-function enterprises, to running a billion dollar, multi-state organization. He has been recognized nationally for his information technology expertise, having received the Healthcare CIO of the Year Award from Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), where he also received the 50 in 50 award in 2011 for memorable achievements while serving as HIMSS President.

Reed will oversee HMG's continued growth and expansion of services into existing and new markets.
