Hy-Tek Material Handling Acquires Two Atlanta Companies
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hy-Tek Material Handling, Inc. has acquired Atlanta-based Conveying Solutions, Inc. and Allied Conveyor Systems to form the Georgia office of Hy-Tek's Integrated Systems Division. The acquisition will boost Hy-Tek's 2014 revenues to approximately $95 million, up 20% over 2013. Columbus, Ohio-based Hy-Tek is the premier single-source provider of material handling solutions for industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, pharmaceutical, food, electronics, and automotive. The acquisition was announced by Hy-Tek CEO Sam Grooms.
Hy-Tek Integrated Systems/Atlanta employs 14 and is overseen by Mickey Thompson, Conveying Solutions and Allied Conveyor Systems principal. With extensive retail experience, Conveying Solutions provides material handling solutions to Neiman Marcus and other luxury retailers, along with discount and chain stores nationwide. Conveying Solutions also is the authorized dealer for Kardex Remstar vertical storage systems in Alabama and Georgia. Allied Conveyor Systems manufactures overhead and floor conveyor systems for industries including automotive, electronic, and agriculture.
