Hypori Announces David Hood, One of Austin's Leading Tech Executives, as CEO
AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Hypori Inc. announces David Hood, one of the leading executives in the Austin Tech community, as CEO, effective immediately.
Hood brings a wealth of operating experience to Hypori, having spent more than 30 years in the technology industry. He held leadership positions within notable technology firms including AT&T, Cisco and Dell, as well as venture-backed startups like BeVocal, NetSolve and, most recently, Troux, where he served as CEO and a Director since 2007. As CEO of Troux, Hood accelerated the company's growth and advanced its position into an industry leader in IT and business transformation solutions, which culminated in Troux's acquisition by Plainview in May of 2015.
"During the three plus decades of my career, I've seen quite a few changes brought about by disruptive technologies. Invariably, however, new technologies don't win marketshare on their own. Rather, it's well put together strategies and teams that win. Equally important, the growth in the number of enterprise customers in critical need of a comprehensive, corporate-wide mobile solution has only accelerated, which leads to an extraordinary market opportunity for Hypori and its category creating Virtual Mobile Infrastructure platform. Hypori's solutions enable enterprise customers to safely allow their employees to use personal devices at work, but maintain strict information security around proprietary enterprise data," said Hood.
According to Hypori's Board of Directors, "David is a highly successful IT executive with an enviable record of performance in setting strategies, building teams and scaling revenues within startups and in corporate organizations. He's also had three successful exits as an entrepreneur. David's leadership and operational skill set will be invaluable in helping Hypori one day become the enterprise solutions provider for mobile solutions."
