The RAINE Foundation, based in Hazlet, NJ, is dedicated to positively impacting the communities of Hazlet, Aberdeen, Matawan, Keyport, Union Beach, Highlands, and Atlantic Highlands – areas particularly hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. The foundation works with Monmouth County, NJ communities by providing food, clothing, assistance during the holidays, and various other necessities for families in crisis. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the organization has expanded its reach to surrounding coastal areas as well as to Staten Island, NY.
In addition to donations made directly by iCIMS employees to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort, contributions were multiplied with a two-to-one match by iCIMS and iCIMS' CEO Colin Day, as well as a $10,000 contribution from iCIMS' investors, Susquehanna Growth Equity, LLC. Funds raised by iCIMS have been earmarked for the rebuilding of Union Beach Memorial School as well as aiding the school's 700 displaced student and their teachers with new computers, printers, data cards, white boards, partitions, TVs, and more for their new surroundings.
"It was amazing to see the iCIMS family come together and help not only one another but their local communities through donations of time and money," said Colin Day, Chief Executive Officer, iCIMS. "In addition to monetary donations, many employees volunteered their time by helping 100 homeowners in Highlands clean and gut their homes, while others volunteered with the Beacon of Hope Distribution Center in Hazlet, NJ to sort through millions of pounds of food and clothing. Their efforts embody the company's in-house motto: We're All In," concluded Day.
In addition to donating to the RAINE Foundation, iCIMS has been working closely with other local organizations aimed at helping the local community for nearly seven years. In 2006, Day established the iGIVE Back program to get employees involved in the protection and preservation of the local environment. Within the program, employees can volunteer up to two paid days annually to participate in company-wide beach and park sweeps. In addition, staff can elect to give direct deposit donations, which the company matches, to several environmental action groups such as Earth Share of New Jersey and Clean Ocean Action. iCIMS also gives its clients the opportunity to have a donation made on their behalf to their charity of choice via an annual holiday program. This year, many iCIMS clients elected to have their donation benefit the RAINE Foundation, which added $1,180 to the company's total donation.
