WASHINGTON, Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ICMA-RC, the nation's only financial services corporation focused exclusively on providing retirement plans and related services for the public sector, is rolling out its National Retirement Security Week (NRSW) education campaign, "The Whole Journey," to encourage local and state government employees to start saving or increase contributions to their employer-sponsored retirement plan.
The annual NRSW event, which will take place October 16-22, 2016, is a national effort championed by the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) to raise public awareness about the importance of saving for retirement.
"We are exclusively focused on the public sector and bringing the best possible retirement savings resources to local and state government employees," said Bob Schultze, President and CEO of ICMA-RC. "National Retirement Security Week encourages everyone to focus on the importance of building retirement security and preparing for a more comfortable and rewarding experience after leaving the workforce."
"The Whole Journey" campaign provides online and mobile educational tools and webinars to public employees. These resources help public sector employees who serve local communities reflect on their personal retirement goals and determine if they are on track to reach them.
