NEWARK, N.J., Dec. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NJ-HITEC, one of the nation's 62 Regional Extension Centers, announced today at the National ONC Conference, that in January 2013, they would be launching the NJ-HITEC members only portal. NJ-HITEC is tasked by the Office of National Coordinator, the federal entity charged with advancing health information technology for the nation, to assist primary care providers (PCP) as well as specialists and sub specialists in the timely delivery of high quality, cost-effective healthcare in the form of services that seamlessly guides them through the selection, adoption, and attainment of Meaningful Use in the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. 

By utilizing IGI's ORBIT Solution Suite provider and channeled by the NJ-HITEC Members Only Portal.  The Members Only portal is a new interactive, secure service that provides NJ-HITEC members access to unlimited data anytime and anywhere. Sharing information securely with other doctors; submitting data to CMS for eRx, PQRS, and Stage 2 Meaningful Use; storing important Meaningful Use documents for audit preparation; and accessing our Vendor Selection document database are a few examples of the information that NJ-HITEC's members can access. The goal is to have an icon on every members' desktop that will give the doctor an interactive connection to NJ-HITEC's private and secure Members Only portal to gain access to the expertise and guidance needed to be a "Meaningful User."
