- Holiday Inn Madrid Calle Alcala to open in 2013
IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world's leading global hotel companies, today announced the signing of its third Holiday Inn hotel in Madrid, the Holiday Inn Madrid Calle Alcala.
Holiday Inn Madrid Calle Alcala will open in April 2013, following a conversion from a Velada hotel and will operate under a franchise agreement with Rentas Hoteleras Socimi S.A.
The 261 room hotel will feature 17 meeting rooms varying from 50m² to 1350m² in size, as well as a restaurant and bar area. The hotel's central location is ideal for business and leisure travellers alike, with easy connections to both the city centre and airport.
IHG's Director of Development for Spain and Portugal, Hylko Versteeg, said the signing of the Holiday Inn Madrid Calle Alcala built Holiday Inn's presence throughout Spain, and strengthened the brand's presence in Madrid.
