Leading the effort as Arizona Chapter Chair is Ken Kirk, CEO of Meridian Financial Holdings. "IICF provides a platform for industry professionals from across Arizona to make an impact in our community. Working together as a united industry we are able to achieve more philanthropically than any single organization can accomplish individually."
The inaugural IICF Arizona Board is comprised of senior leaders from the Arizona Insurance Council, Brown & Brown Insurance of Arizona, Inc., Chubb Insurance Group, Laurel Insurance Brokers, Meridian Financial Holdings, Scottsdale Insurance, SCF Arizona, and Seneca Insurance.
Make an impact right away, IICF Arizona has already completed its first community event, holding a food drive to benefit St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance. Collectively, the group raised over 1,800 pounds of donated goods. In addition to the food drive, IICF also facilitated hands on volunteering bringing together 30 individuals to sort donations at the St. Mary's warehouse. In one day, IICF volunteers sorted over 12,100 pounds of food.
Kirk continued, "The industry response to IICF in Arizona has already been strong and can be seen through the level of support we were able to provide to St. Mary's. The IICF food drive and volunteer event are only the beginning of the support we plan to bring to our local community. It is outstanding to see so many industry leaders already engage with our early efforts."
As a national organization, IICF operates four regional divisions serving the Midwest, Northeast, Texas-Southeast and the Western United States. Since its founding in 1994, the IICF has provided over $19 million in community grants and over 166,000 volunteer service hours to local community organizations.
