Expands base of clinic customers

SHELTON, Conn., Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- iMedX Inc., a leading healthcare software and services company, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of assets from National Medical Transcription LLC. ("NMT").  With this acquisition, iMedX adds NMT's many clinics and solo practitioners in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States to its customer base.

As a result of this acquisition, iMedX will benefit from an expanded base of clinic customers. NMT's customers will have access to advanced technology through iMedX's Internet-based healthcare information solutions – TurboRecord® electronic medical records, and TurboRx® electronic prescribing. Additionally with iMedX's recent offering enabling EMR implementation through transcription, doctors will remain productive even as EMR's are being implemented.

Venkat Sharma, iMedX's President and CEO, along with the current iMedX management team, will lead the combined companies. NMT's production and operations team will continue to support and grow its loyal customer base as NMT's customers are integrated into iMedX.
