IN Group's Annual Holi Event 'Rang Barse' Is Back for the Sixth Year
The Ship Will Set Sail from Pier 40 on the Hudson River
NEW YORK, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Spring is around the corner and so is Holi, the Indian festival of colors that welcomes the season and celebrates the conquest of good over evil, by people playing with colored powder and water. IN Group Events has created the most exclusive, annual Holi event in New York City called 'Rang Barse,' which is back for the sixth year. The cruise event will take place on the Respect Ship at Pier 40, which will be attended by more than 500 revelers from all over the East Coast.
The Respect will set sail on March 30 from 12:00 to 3:30 pm from Pier 40 on the Hudson River. Festivities will include food, drinks, heaps of powdered color, and Indian music. Ashu Rai, a famous Indian DJ, traditional Indian drums (dhol) by Mohit Sahni and spectacular Bollywood dance performances will make this a great cultural experience.
"For the second year in a row, Bucket List is thrilled to attend Rang Barse. This event has quickly become a favorite among our members. We're very excited to welcome Spring with the splash and color that Holi brings," says Melinda Stewart of Bucket List, a social organization based in Fairfield, C.T.
Rohika Hardas, founder of IN Group Events, says, "Holi is one of India's most loved festivals. It is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm all across India, and now in New York too. We have a large South Asian population here that misses the tradition of celebrating Holi and they are loyal attendees. But in recent years, our event has attracted a large number of non-South Asians looking for a cultural and enjoyable experience unlike any other."
The early bird tickets are sold at $65 until March 5th. Prices will increase to $85 closer to the event. For more information or to purchase tickets for the event, please go to www.ingroupevents.com. Images and video from last year's event are also available upon request.
