VIENNA, Va., March 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will host a webinar on Thursday, March 14 to discuss which blended learning school models will best meet the needs and priorities of schools, their staff and students.
"As the demand for online learning increases across the globe, it is important that we provide a variety of options for students to access quality education," said Susan Patrick, president and CEO of iNACOL. "But in implementing online and blended learning, it is also important that schools and districts understand how to implement programs to best fit diverse students' needs."
The webinar, "Recipe for Success: Blended Learning School Models," will review three of the most common blended learning models in education, including lab rotation, classroom rotation and flex programs, with examples of schools nationwide that have selected and implemented these models.
Presenters will include Anthony Kim, founder and CEO of Education Elements, an organization that works with schools and educators to develop and manage blended learning programs, and Michael Thompson, Education Elements' director of school programs. Additionally, the webinar will provide an overview of Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, a charter school management organization in urban Los Angeles that developed the Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) school model to increase the personalization of learning and to enhance college readiness in its high schools. Teacher feedback and student achievement results from Alliance's blended learning programs will also be shared during the webinar.
