Indiana Homes and Services for the Aging (IAHSA) Changes Name to LeadingAge Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective January 1st, Indiana Homes and Services for the Aging is now LeadingAge Indiana. This new name aligns the association with their national association and results from a comprehensive study on how to best expand the world of possibilities for aging. The study also showed that members believe a new name and better alignment between state affiliates and the national association will create a more effective association. "LeadingAge Indiana offers a strong and distinct voice for our members to inspire, serve and advocate for the older adults in our state," said Jim Leich, President of LeadingAge Indiana.
"Together, we will lead in innovative practices that transform how we serve our aging population, cutting-edge initiatives to develop services that meet older adults' needs and advocacy to advance the interest of the aging consumer. While we continue to be the same organization, the name change is a catalyst for new and meaningful conversations with our members, partners and legislature so we can remain at the forefront of care and services for the aging population," adds Leich.
There are over 190 community members of LeadingAge Indiana that service over 25,000 Indiana senior citizens. More information about LeadingAge Indiana is available on the organization's website, www.leadingageindiana.org.
