Industry Leader Rick Herman Joins MobiTV, Inc. to Drive Business & Corporate Development

EMERYVILLE, Calif., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- MobiTV, Inc., the leading provider of technology solutions that deliver media over wireless and broadband networks, announced the hire of industry vanguard Rick Herman as Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development. Herman will drive strategic planning and execution as MobiTV continues to grow its footprint as a technology player and platform provider.

Herman comes to MobiTV from Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) where he was SVP, Business and Legal Affairs in San Diego.  While there, Herman was responsible for many of the company's strategic transactions related to content acquisition, distribution and development. Additionally, Herman reviewed investment and acquisition opportunities and the implementation of the company's investment strategy, including the negotiation of equity positions in new technology companies such as the purchase by SOE of a significant block of Series A shares of EnterpriseDB Corporation, a database software company.
