Indy Plush to receive SAGE Award in Honor of Earth Day
MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Indy Plush, the Green America Certified organization that designs and crafts plush dolls, clothing and books is being presented with the SAGE Green Award for manufacturing eco-friendly products.
SAGE (Sustainable and Green Environments) is an organization that is bringing "planet awareness" to the affluent communities of Southern California, referred to as "the South Bay." Based in Manhattan Beach, California, SAGE is holding a 2-day event, April 20 and April 21, 2013 in honor of Earth Day, April 22. The event will be held at 3601 Bell Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA.
At this event, SAGE is presenting Indy Plush with the SAGE GREEN AWARD for "creating a local business that benefits the environment." SAGE has also invited Indy Plush's managing partner Plinio Garcia, to speak on the topic: "How to create a green business in the USA."
Indy Plush sources its materials locally in Southern California. The dolls are filled with filler made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The baby clothes and children's T-shirts are 100% organic cotton and water-based or soy based inks. Franceil Masi, designs the dolls, while her partners, Andrew Ruesch and Plinio Garcia market and operate the business.
Indy Plush products are available at museums such as the San Jose Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles Autry Center.
