Infiniti U.S. Sales Up 23.6 Percent In August

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Infiniti today reported U.S. sales of 11,155 units in August, an increase of 23.6 percent versus 9,024 units a year earlier. Year-to-date Infiniti sales are up 21.1 percent compared to the 63,702 units sold during the same period last year.

Infiniti sales highlights for the month include:

• Infiniti G Sedan, with sales of 5,123, had its best August with a 20.1 percent increase over prior year
• With 2,378 sales in August, the all-new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover has now become Infiniti's second best-selling vehicle for the year since it went on sale in late March
• Overall, Infiniti had its best August in seven years
