Infiniti U.S. Sales Up 4.9 Percent In January

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Feb. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Infiniti today reported January sales of 7,126 units, an increase of 4.9 percent versus 6,796 units a year earlier.

With a 71 percent gain for the month, sales of Infiniti luxury crossovers and sport utility vehicles remained strong, led by the Infiniti QX full-size SUV with a 14.5 percent increase to 1,168 units, and the new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover adding 1,970 incremental sales.

"After a strong close in December, we began our sponsorship of NCAA^® Men's Basketball in mid-January, which will continue to help drive traffic to our showrooms through the spring," said Ben Poore , vice president, Infiniti Americas. "Sales of Infiniti QX luxury SUV and the Infiniti JX crossover continue to bring new shoppers into our showrooms." 

As corporate sponsor of NCAA^® Men's Basketball, Infiniti began its third annual Coaches' Charity Challenge in January. Through this program, Infiniti will donate a total of $335,000 with $5,000 being donated to each of the 48 participating coaches' designated charities. Then, the coach with the most fan votes in the final round will receive $100,000 for his designated charity. Infiniti is promoting its G Sedan and JX 7-passenger crossover during regular season NCAA Men's Basketball, and through the Final Four^®.
