Infographic From Totaljobs.com Highlights Expectations and Realities in UK Graduate Job Market
LONDON, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Totaljobs.com, one of the UK's leading graduate jobs websites, has today released an infographic based on its research into the outlook for current and future UK graduates. The infographic details a range of subjects relevant to UK graduates across the country such as earning expectations, debt levels, success at jobseeking and preferred industries/sectors.
Using data taken from totaljobs.com's regular graduate survey it paints a picture of graduates determined to get a job with over 39 per cent of graduates willing to move anywhere in the world to get a job, and more than half prepared to work in any sector.
In addition to wide range of relevant statistics, the infographic includes lists of the Top 10 most admired business leaders and most desirable organisations to work for. Famous business personalities such as Richard Branson and Alan Sugar top the list, but interestingly their companies are not in the Top 10, with the BBC topping the list of desirable organisations ahead of companies such as Google, Tesco and HSBC..

In November this year totaljobs.com hosted their most successful GradU8 Online Recruitment Fair ever, which saw registrations increase by over 41%. The event allowed graduates to connect with employers and even talk with them live in chat sessions. Graduates were also able to watch live seminars on industry topics and see exhibitions from leading employers including IBM, PwC, KPMG, Accenture and Boots. Seminars included topics such as Why don't I hear back after I've applied? and Where's my job?.
For those who missed the Gradu8 event, totaljobs.com is committed to offering the best advice and assistance to graduate jobseekers year-round through its online Graduate Zone (www.totaljobs.com/Graduate/). The site offers graduate job seekers the chance to find out about jobs in the sector they want to work in, and to learn about the best placements and internships available. The Graduate Zone also gives information on recruitment events held all over the country, which can give students and graduates the opportunity to meet employers face-to-face and to apply for vacancies.
