The conference, held by Florida Justice Association (FJA) annually, took place at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Sarasota and drew top civil trial attorneys from around the state. In addition to veteran trial lawyers, the conference was also attended by many members of the Florida legal community including, up and coming attorneys, law school students, paralegals, vendors to the legal industry, and members of the FJA leadership.

Along with attorney Bernard Walsh other members of Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh attended the event including, Attorney M. David Shapiro, Attorney David L. Goldman, Attorney Michael J. Babboni and Attorney Stephen M. Fernandez.

During the event Attorney Bernard Walsh co-moderated and participated as a panel member of the seminar entitled, 'Discovery and Trial Tips for the Auto Negligence Practitioner.' After the seminar, an open forum style questions and answers session was held in which attendees had access to more in-depth information directly from the speakers.

The FJA Masters of Justice conference offered attendees a variety of educational and networking opportunities including seminars on Product Liability Claims, Jury Selection, Insurance and Bad Faith and Medical Mal Practice and Auto Negligence. Many of the seminars provided Continuing Legal Education Credits or CLEs for participants and guests. Earning CLEs annually is a requirement by the Florida Bar Association and many other Bar Associations around the country.

Attorney Bernard Walsh offered this comment about this year's FJA event, "the Masters of Justice has always been an excellent conference and having such a prominent event drawing exceptional people to Sarasota has been great. The speakers at the various events offer a wealth of real, in the court room experience and first-hand knowledge that would otherwise be difficult for up and coming attorneys to get. Getting the opportunity to work with many other attorneys from around the state has been a rewarding experience and I encourage anyone in the legal profession to attend the Masters of Justice conferences each year."
