Inside Sales Bootcamp Opens Enrollment to Help Increase Diversity Within Tech

BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Inside Sales Bootcamp, Inc. is on a mission to increase diversity within tech by helping women and underrepresented minorities land entry-level sales jobs. Inside Sales Bootcamp currently has bootcamps in Boulder, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco.  

Tech companies across the country have been under pressure to increase diversity in the past few years. According to Forbes, most companies are heavily comprised of "white, asian and male" workers. This has sparked a mass movement among the tech giants including Facebook, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and Amazon to help diversify their workforce. Bay Area venture capitalist, Brendan Wales, shares that "Bay Area companies are making it a priority to increase diversity as they scale their teams. Inside Sales Bootcamp is a great resource and platform to help shrink this diversity gap, while also providing teams with highly trained and vetted candidates."

Richardson consults with those companies, but the challenge remains that not enough women have a simple path to learning the skills necessary for a strong career in professional selling. While the problem is apparent, and companies are working to hire for diversity, they are struggling to hire for qualified entry-level sales positions in general. According to Matt McGraw, Founder and CEO of TheLions, a prominent recruiting firm based in San Francisco, "we have more positions to fill than qualified sales people for the 200+ tech companies we work with." TheLions has partnered with Inside Sales Bootcamp to help fill this void in the market.
