InSys Consulting CEO Honored as Outstanding Leader by the Greater New York Councils' Exploring Program
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, November 9, InSys Consulting CEO Linda Magnusson-Rosario shared the honors at a gala reception with Mary-Jean Eastman, Principal Perkins Eastman Architects, and Mark Wenitzky, Vice President, Bank of America Home Loans. The event highlighted their service to the community, and also helped fund Exploring Program's work, so it can continue to serve more than 6,500 young people throughout the Five Boroughs.
With the support of some 65 businesses, hospitals and law environment agencies, the Exploring Program brings high school students into business offices and professional practices to see first-hand what different careers are all about. It's an eye-opening experience that helps motivate students to get the education they need, and encourages them to develop a roadmap for their future.
The Exploring awards are presented to business and community leaders who exemplify the values of leadership in their industry. Recipients are chosen for their interest and leadership, as well as the respect in which they are held by their colleagues.
"This award means a lot to me," noted Magnusson-Rosario. "As a former educator, I'm committed to supporting mentoring programs for young people. I was lucky to grow up in Brooklyn and received a great public school education. Following my own path led me from fine art to technology, and I think it's great when young people are exposed to possibilities they may never have considered."
