Intelligroup Recognized for Supply Chain Excellence by Supply Chain Council

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Intelligroup, an NTT DATA Company, focused on information technology consulting, enterprise applications and outsourcing services announced today that it has been recognized as a first runner up for the 2010 Award Supply Chain Excellence for Operational Excellence.  This award is given annually by the Supply Chain Council, a global nonprofit association.  Intelligroup received the award at the recent Supply Chain World Europe meeting in Munich, Germany.

Intelligroup's recognition was based on a recent supply chain project for a leading technology supplier for the energy business.  The project helped Intelligroup's customer to stabilize the supply chain planning process from both a systems and business perspective.  Working along with the business leaders, Intelligroup helped to resolve business pain points and gain confidence in the planning process for the business units.  Some of the key metrics for success included reduced product planning cycles, upward trending in performance which was driven by lower turnover, reduced inventory holding costs, all resulting in an optimized supply chain.  Intelligroup has a strong Supply Chain Practice that delivers advanced business consulting and technology based solutions leveraging ERP platforms.
