BOSTON, Dec. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactions, provider of the most natural conversational automated systems for customer care, announced today that Laurie Giandomenico has joined the company as SVP of Marketing. Giandomenico, with more than 20 years of executive marketing and management consulting experience, will lead all marketing activities.
"Laurie brings a strategic and creative approach to the marketing function," said Mike Iacobucci, CEO of Interactions. "Her experience building global brands will be particularly beneficial to Interactions as we expand domestically and introduce our solutions internationally."
Giandomenico most recently served as Vice President of Marketing at EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy intelligence software, where she led the marketing organization. Prior to EnerNOC, Giandomenico founded Rocket Strategy Consulting.
"I'm thrilled to join a highly talented team of people who are singularly focused on transforming an industry through brilliant technology," said Giandomenico. "It's exciting work at a critical time where innovation is going to break apart the paradigm that the only cost effective solution means sacrificing a great customer experience. We want to enable companies to do both, and we can. Our future is bright."
Giandomenico began her executive career at McKinsey & Company, followed by the boutique marketing consultancy Vivaldi Partners where she worked with pioneering marketing thought leaders. She then served as a partner at EffectiveBrands, a global marketing consultancy focused on creating global marketing teams and brands. During this time she worked for several Fortune 500 clients in both B2B and B2C businesses ranging from companies such as Siemens, Schlumberger, and eBay to Bristol Myers Squibb, Unilever, and Starbucks.
Laurie began her career as an electrical engineer for a government think tank, The MITRE Corporation, where she worked as a member of the technical staff. Giandomenico has a BSEE degree from The University of Connecticut and an MA and PhD from Cornell University.
