LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Coach Federation (ICF) has named GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) the winner of its 2016 ICF International Prism Award. Beyond Emancipation (B:E) and Coca-Cola HBC Russia are this year's honorable mention recipients.
The ICF International Prism Award program honors organizations that have achieved the highest standard of excellence in coaching programs that yield discernible and measurable positive impacts, fulfill rigorous professional standards, address key strategic goals, and shape organizational culture.
"It is very rewarding and exciting to see the caliber of organizations that apply for the Prism Award each year. This year's winner and honorable mention recipients represent different industries but have many things in common, including their dedication to quality, excellence and innovation. They share a commitment to building strong coaching cultures within their respective organizations, for better outcomes for their organizations and the individuals they serve," ICF Global CEO/Executive Director Magdalena Mook said.
GSK created a global Coaching Centre of Excellence that standardized coaching throughout the organization by improving access, ensuring quality and efficiency, and creatively containing costs. Coaching at GSK has increased by 2,900 percent within the last half-decade and has been credited with a return on investment of $66 million USD.
GSK was nominated for the Prism program by Adrian Machon, PCC.
B:E serves former foster youth in Alameda County, California, USA, through an innovative, social justice-oriented direct service model with coaching at its heart. B:E has also woven coaching into its workplace culture. All of the nonprofit's employees are trained in coaching skills, and B:E has also invested in training for a small cadre of internal coach practitioners.
B:E was nominated for the Prism program by Johnny Manzon-Santos, PCC.
Coca-Cola HBC Russia adopted coaching in 2010 to lead the move away from a top-down management style. The organization now has more than 40 internal coach practitioners to whom all employees have access. Currently, Coca-Cola HBC Russia is using coaching for change management as the organization adapts to challenges posed by Russia's economic downturn.
Coca-Cola HBC Russia was nominated for the Prism program by Yana Blackwelder, PCC.
