"The body of knowledge that shapes coaching practice is ever-evolving. For coaches and coach trainers and educators who want to set themselves apart in today's marketplace, familiarity with cutting-edge coaching research is essential," said ICF Global Chair and Master Certified Coach Damian Goldvarg, Ph.D. "At ICF Advance 2014, we will bridge the gap between theory and practice by facilitating powerful, provocative conversations among coaching scholars, practitioners, trainers and educators."

ICF Advance 2014 has been designed as an intensive, interactive 2½-day educational experience that will deliver in-depth content covering the theories that underpin coaching. Attendees will enhance their understanding of how empirical research and theories influence and relate to the coaching body of knowledge, observe live demonstrations of masterful coaching, and acquire strategies for integrating evidence-based research into their own practice.

ICF Advance 2014 presenters will include:

  • Howard Ross, whose daily Provocateur Presentations will lay the groundwork for attendees' learning and synthesize the ICF Advance 2014 educational experience.
  • Francine Campone, Ed.D., MCC, who will serve as the event's Praxis Facilitator, engaging with attendees to identify examples of innovative coaching research, discuss impactful coaching studies from around the world and map new areas for additional exploration.
  • Ben Palmer, Ph.D., who will lead attendees on a deep dive into theories of emotional intelligence and their application to masterful Leadership Coaching that transforms clients' lives.
  • Margaret Moore, MBA, who will explore how the science of human thriving can be paired with the science and practice of coaching to optimize clients' overall well-being by eliciting heartfelt motivation, confidence, creativity and strategic thinking.
