NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincor Solutions Inc., a global provider of patient engagement technology to hospitals and health systems, today announced the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. Previously based in Ireland, Lincor has relocated its executive office to Music City and launched a nationwide effort to grow the company's presence in the U.S. healthcare market.

"American hospitals are facing enormous financial pressure to engage patients, improve satisfaction, and enhance clinical outcomes," said Lincor CEO Richard Cooke. "Because our technology platform helps hospitals achieve these goals while simplifying caregiver workflow and improving the patient experience, we see tremendous opportunity to work with hospitals across the country. And Nashville, as the home of so many hospital systems and healthcare providers, is the logical home base for the next phase of Lincor's international growth."

Founded in 2003, Lincor Solutions delivers its industry-leading patient engagement technology, the MEDIVista platform, to more than 120 hospitals around the globe. The technology platform allows caregivers to access and update electronic medical records, record vital signs, and share scans and test results at the bedside, helping patients better understand their condition and treatment plan. In addition, patients can use the platform to access interactive health education materials, review their discharge instructions, and provide feedback on their stay—giving the hospital real-time, actionable information about patient engagement and satisfaction. MEDIVista also doubles as a communication and entertainment platform—with phone, Internet, television, video-on-demand, radio, gaming, and audio book capabilities—to help patients stay connected to life outside the hospital and enhance the quality of their stay.

To support its U.S. growth strategy, Lincor has relocated five executive positions from Ireland to the new corporate office: chief executive officer, chief technology officer, chief financial officer, senior vice president of marketing, and senior vice president of sales. To complete its executive team, Lincor has hired Nashville native Chris Cashwell as senior vice president of global marketing and strategy. Cashwell joined Lincor from Nuance Communications, where he served as senior director of emerging technology initiatives for the company's healthcare division and led commercialization of its Clintegrity suite of solutions. Previously, he was part of the leadership team of clinical documentation firm Webmedx, which was acquired by Nuance in 2011.

"I am excited about joining the Lincor team as the company embarks on its U.S. expansion," Cashwell said. "By empowering patients and giving them the tools to participate in their care, we can help hospitals achieve better patient engagement and outcomes in a way that is consistent, measurable and cost-effective."

Lincor has also hired five sales executives, and within the next nine months it plans to add an additional 10 to 15 corporate office employees for sales, product and support positions. The company will maintain research, product development, customer support and international sales functions at its facilities in Cork and Dublin, Ireland.

Lincor Solutions is the global leader in patient engagement technology. Through its state-of-the-art MEDIVista platform, Lincor transforms the patient experience by bringing interactive education, communication and entertainment technology directly to the bedside. Empowering patients helps hospitals achieve better patient engagement, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
